About SASECompare

Independent research for security teams evaluating SASE platforms. No names, no sponsors, no bias. Just evidence.

Why this exists

Every SASE vendor claims to do everything. Marketing pages are polished, sales decks are compelling, and analyst quadrants give you a 2x2 grid that somehow places four vendors in the top right.

If you're a CISO, security architect, or IT leader trying to make a real purchasing decision, you deserve better than marketing claims. You need specific, verifiable answers to specific technical questions.

That's what SASECompare does. We take concrete security questions and check whether each vendor actually delivers, backed by public documentation.

Who we are

We're security practitioners who have deployed, evaluated, and troubleshot these products in production environments. We choose to stay anonymous for a simple reason: it keeps the focus on the data, not on us.

No vendor relationships to protect. No consulting engagements to sell. No conference speaking slots to worry about. Our anonymity is your guarantee that no name or reputation is influencing what you see on this site.

Methodology

Every data point on SASECompare follows the same process:

  1. Define the question. Each comparison topic starts with specific, testable questions that matter to real-world deployments. Not "does it have DLP?" but "can it inspect TLS 1.3 on managed mobile devices?"
  2. Research public sources. We use vendor documentation, knowledge base articles, release notes, community forums, and verified practitioner reports. We never use information obtained under NDA.
  3. Classify the answer. Each vendor gets a clear verdict:YESPARTIALNO
  4. Cite the source. Every answer links to the public documentation that supports it. Click any cell in a comparison table to see exactly where the data comes from.

What we won't do

  • Accept payment from vendors to be listed, ranked, or reviewed
  • Use affiliate links or sponsored placements
  • Mark something YES without documented evidence
  • Hide behind vague language when a vendor falls short
  • Ignore corrections when we get something wrong
